The recent research conducted by BBC predicted rises for business rates in the retail sector. We have seen much lobbying and campaigning over the years regarding this matter and it is ignored time and again, the government is only reducing the size of the valuation office and its staff which does not lend itself well to reform for better or worse, just a march towards simplicity and lower costs.
It leaves the responsibility to the individual business owner to seek the right expertise, to help in reducing their own individual costs.
