Hospitality trade set to benefit from Queen's Speech-but there's a sting in the tail.

Updated: Jan 29, 2020

Firms with a rateable value of less than £51k, are set to see their business rates discount rise from 33% to 50%.

However, the discount, worth £770m, will be replaced by a mere £10m a year, for the three years following 2021. Thus, respite is purely temporary.

At a time when the hospitality trade needs to save every penny possible in order to re-invest and diversify in an ever-changing market, CPA's no obligation offer of free consultation, and realistic commission on a no win no fee basis, together with free surveys wherever necessary, relives its clients of all worries and offers a realistic prospect of re-invigorated trading in the new decade.
