Death of the high street an exaggeration

Commercial Property Advisors (CPA) takes issue with a recent report by Bill Grimsey, former CEO of Iceland, that the high street is beyond hope of resuscitation, and that it is too late to apply remedies to a market saturated with too many shops.

Whilst not denying the evident difficulties posed by on line and out of town retailing, CPA sees some real relief being available in reduced rates bills. The recent Budget offered some help to small high street traders, but left business rates as a continuing injustice for a wide range of struggling enterprises, from hospitality to niche service units.

CPA undertakes to handle all documentation, including professional surveys, on a friendly, speedy, no win no fee basis. Rates successfully revalued have helped revive the fortunes of a growing number of CPA clients.
