CPA has made comments before on how the relief on business rates being given to small retailers is a blessing but by no means a solution to the larger problem, in most cases the high street will still struggle with the ever advancing reach of the internets big retailers, Amazon in particular.
Big shopping centres in the south-west such as Trego Mills and Cabot Circus will welcome this relief but with large stores such as Debenhams and New Look still closing stores across the UK, the south-west is bound to still see the effect of these closures. Some relief is good, more relief is needed.
