An Amazon tax alone will not save the high street

Of course, a tax on Amazon is common sense and just. Business rates, thirty years old, reflect trading conditions in a pre-internet age, and  are squarely aimed at property-based firms whose bricks and mortar make them an easy target.

However, unless more is done to save the high street, any attempt merely to equalise the misery of business rates is doomed to failure, since our shops and pubs are on the verge of extinction.

Commercial Property Advisors (CPA) believes that an untapped source of savings can be found in effective challenges to business rates, and undertakes to appeal on clients' behalf on a no win no fee basis.

CPA's growing list of satisfied clients, some of whom had initially no idea that they might be entitled to substantial cash savings, attests to the value of calling in a team of friendly professionals who are equally committed to saving the high street.
